Feels bizarre to do a "mileage run" at the airport without boarding an aircraft, but I've got back-to-back 1-day rentals on this one. Now to see how long the miles really take to post.
I've always had trouble with miles from car rental places with posting the miles. Not as bad as Wyndham hotels posting to miles programs, but not great experiences overall. Please post when you've received your miles. I'm curious for future reference.
Did anyone get the miles to post on this promotion? How long did it take?
I'll answer my own question.Bonus miles posted today11 days after turning in car.
I have a rental that starts on 8/31 but ends on 9/3...any idea whether that would still qualify for the promo? The reservation system took it just fine.
If the reservation took it, you should have no problem getting the points.
Thanks for the response. Coincidentally, it looks like the promo was extended to September 15th.
Gary just posted saying its extended till 9/15.
got my 9150 AA miles for 3 rentals on 8/17-19 posted today.
Careful, folks, don't auto-click without checking the daily rate. Mine at DCA jumped by a significant amount.
do I have to use AA's AWD in the reservation to get those points or just the coupon code is enough ?
I personally would like to use my Avis CHM, AWD that's built in to my account
My 5000 bonus miles from July 27th haven't shown up yet, any info on whom I should contact regarding this? Thanks
Avis. They'll tell that it may take 3 months to post and to wait. You then or email them again, and they'll tell you that they have posted it to AA and to contact them. Then you'll call AA and they will say they know nothing about those 5000 points and they'll send you back to Avis. They'll tell you that they have posted it to AA and to contact them. Then ....
That was how it "worked" for me with Avis/US.
I broke out of that loop by telling them that I have talked with AA twice and that there is no way they can figure out why points didn't post if they didn't receive them in the first place. That led to some further escalation within Avis, but no resolution yet.
eeeks, Not looking fwd to the loop! Maybe I will just wait for 3 Month period to go by before contacting Avis, at-least one part of their equation will be complete this way!
