Finally! Now if only it was on a 738 instead. It's a long flight to be on the "ghetto" 757 (unless it was on the refurbished ones or 75L).

Nice additional service for AA. But I do note one flight is a "Red Eye" and the other might as well be -- on a 752 this is hardly going to be construed as romantic luxury travel.

Based on the times, I'm guessing most people will be asleep and not really care. ;)

Ah. How I envy those who are actually able to sleep through the experience of a Red Eye.

This is awesome and great news, but the timing from Mia to sea is terrible, specially for us who arrives at MIA early morning from abroad and leave late night, so I guess I will have to use the connections via DFW!!

As someone who uses AA into and out of SEA quite a bit, this is very, very welcome news.

That's a really long RON in Seattle for the 752--more than 21 hours. Perhaps AA intends to move the JFK flight back to a 752 and use SEA as a scissor to run equipment MIA-SEA-JFK and JFK-SEA-MIA? It'd be great to see the JFK flight back on a 752 as well, and it'd easily be possible to time the JFK flights to fit with those MIA arrival/departure times.

Well, maybe somebody smarter than me checking the schedule, for example, June 15 or beyond, can decipher what AA is planning to do with that 757. Schedules I checked indicated it still plans to use a 738 to go to Kennedy Airport. So I checked Boston, Los Angeles, Washington, Newark, Anchorage and a couple other cities to see if it was adding in a morning departure on a 757 out of the rainy coffee city, and found nothing. Surely there is an answer somewhere.

I think the answer is that the equipment choices for June and beyond isn't set in stone yet. I think MIA-SEA-JFK-SEA-MIA makes the most sense for the equipment; in years past the JFK-SEA-JFK flights were on a 752 year round, so it'd make sense for it to at least go 752 for the summer and make use of this equipment. But I'm not an airline CEO so who knows. :)

I'm guessing AA had cruise ship pax embarking and disembarking in Miami in mind with these flight times....

SEA-MIA is your traditional red eye, but I have to say, what a horrible timing for MIA-SEA!

AS is giving up the 8:25 am route in September when they switch their South Florida airport to FLL. Maybe AA will take that route then. The flight is always full on the 738.

Oh I hope so, a MIA-SEA flight eary in the morning from MIA would be excellent!

I wouldn't be surprised if they went 2x, but for now no news. The AA and AS flights will overlap for a few weeks in fact.

Also, this will be the longest flight within "the 48"?

    BOS-SFO 2704 miles
    MIA-SEA 2724 miles

Seems so, I can't think of any longer ones off the top of my head.

The flight would be great for MRs if price is right.

Yes, and what about in the middle of the night, in a middle seat in coach? Ugh.

Indeed. Nothing coming up from South America that would make use of it without a day in MIA....now, sometimes it seems like it takes a day in MIA to get thru security and customs, but that's another story.

It's a long time for sure in either first or econonmy on those old 757's. Maybe it's just me, but I just don't find those F seats that comfortable for anything longer than a few hours max. And massive sympathies per the earlier post about a middle seat on that......ugh indeed.

True, the old 757s are in pretty bad shape. But, AA seems to renovating at a pretty good clip. Or, I just keep getting lucky and getting refurbs. :D

The latter. But perhaps you'll get to undertake one of these MIA-SEA legs on an old 757, in a middle seat in coach, and see the fun you're missing.

Actually, the seat that's not that bad on the old 757's is the exit rows at the front of economy. LOADS of legroom, lots of space, you can get up & walk around without an aisle to get thru, lav's are right there if you have to go & you always know if there's a queue or not.

I don't think I've been in a middle seat on AA for more than two years. Well, with the exception of OWMD.

Now, UA on the other hand......
