AA Vacations is having an epic sale on Business class fares to Europe. I booked two C class seats to Zurich and 3 nights in 4 star hotels for about $3000 each. The price on aa.com for the flights in COACH was about $2,500, so the price for the package in C was about $400 less than the coach fare and hotels if purchased separately.

ETA: the C fares for the same flights on aa.com were $8,300 each!

Any idea how long the sale lasts?

The outlier here seems to me to be the $2500 Y fare, not the cheaper C fare.

No clue but it was still alive this morning for flights in Jan.

No Saturday night stay and only 3 nights could affect the price. It was $2,461 the day I booked in Y (non refundable). I rounded up. Today the same flights are $2289. Still less money out of pocket to get the C fare special with hotels than book separately.

    Quite likely.

One interesting quirk of travel package deals is that they often "break" fare rule requirements. That's not a special sale so much as the way those packages work. I've done it on coach seats before where I could buy at the 21 day a/p fares well inside that window. My guess is you are seeing the lowest discount biz fare without the a/p or minimum stay requirements.

I'm also a bit surprised the hotel is more than $500/night, but I guess welcome to Zurich.

I'm not, because Zurich. The prices there can be eye-watering. Germany (Berlin, Hamburg, Cologne, Freiburg) is downright reasonable in summer for my July trip next year by comparison. It took a lot of scrambling to find someplace I think will be OK for an overnight stay before heading out to home from ZRH the next morning. Last time it was the Holiday Inn Express out by ZRH- at least this time I can explore the city a bit.

Oh, and there was AA award availability in July, too.
