Interesting. John's been having some problems with his Pre-Check, but I've been flying through. Wonder if this is what's going on with his account....

The agent said I had done everything correctly - all my info was there - she said sometimes they needed to manually send it over to the TSA. Hopefully AA is focusing on this.

I tweeted them last night; I may send a friendly letter, too.

Now that I'm thinking about it, his Global Entry failed, too (big "X" on the printout from the machine!). Wonder if that's a piece of this puzzle!?

Same happenned to me in SEA. When I got to the Checkpoint the TSA officer scanned my BP and told me I was not eligible. To avoid delays and discussion I went to the other lane!

    Are you a dual-citizen, US/Brazil?

It's entirely possible to get the random X too.

But of course you are! ;)

I was only asking because when I checked the PreCheck information for AA/US/DL/UA all the programs required you to be a US citizen to be eligible.

I know that, I was surprised when I was told at LAX that I was eligible to go through Pre-check, I had the same idea as you. But the TSA agent told me that now if you have a foreign passport and are eligible by the airline you can pass through there. I already used precheck at LAX, LAS, DFW, MCI and ORD. Last time at SEA the machine didn't allow me to go throught, I tought it was because it was an international flight, but with some people reporting this issue, it might have something to do with it.

Odd that TSA and the airlines would lift the restriction without making any announcement. Glad you're typically successful with it though.

TSA Precheck is awesome, most for the Laptop and shoes! It's so nice not to be troubled to take the machine out of the backpack. I'm glad with that too.... I do hope they keep letting me use precheck!

P.S.: I send you a Print of my AA screen so you can see AA allowed me to be in the Pre-check.

Your luck with AA continues, but this time it seems like good luck. ;)

I'm not sure I would keep that picture up with your personal info though!

I haven't had much opportunity to use PreCheck yet, but I am currently 50% success...its great when it happens and at least the initial line for the agent is usually shorter.
