I didn't think it was possible for AA's pilots to be more galactically stupid than they were when they rejected the contract. I was wrong. If they're even thinking about striking now, they are absolutely freaking insane. I know that it's very difficult for airlines to strike, so what on earth could they possibly be thinking? They're just pounding their fists on the table, and all they're going to have to show for it is a sore hand and a broken table.

Well, that was sorta my feeling. But I thought I'd let somebody else say it first so they'd picket your house instead of mine :(

They can't strike unless the National Mediation Board releases them from negotiations. That was the same issue that continually blocked the flight attendants from striking. They could not get the National Mediation Board to release them and start the 30 day timer. All posturing for now.
