    Hi All,

    I did not see this posted already...it seems, if there is a back log, it favors AA to get the checks done and the a/c back in the air...

    Better than outsourcing to China or South Korea like UA or EL Salvador like Southwest. Although they're not AA jobs, at least they're U.S. jobs. I can't see how AA can afford to pay overtime to keep the work in-house if they're backlogged and these are mandatory maintenance items. Only other option would be to ground the aircraft until slots were available to repair them by AA mechanics, and that doesn't sound like a good option at all.
