Do you want the MPM or the MPM + 25% used on awards?

You can find MPM for routes on Expertflyer, if you use that.

i booked earlier this year a HND-JFK-HNL all non-stop for 50k AA miles...it's a total of 11734 miles so 1629 miles over the 25 %!why did AA let me do this?:)

If you are flying on AA metal for the overwater portion of your award (HND-JFK), they are much more flexible on allowing you to exceed the MPM. If you had flown NRT-JFK on JL, that wouldn't be the case.

I think you're selectively reading my response. To emphasize: "if you are flying on AA metal for the overwater portion of your award (HND-JFK), they are much more flexible on allowing you to exceed the MPM."
    ;)

As for HNL-HKG through JFK.... I doubt it.

IF it worked, you'd likely have to take AA to HND and connect, but adding a CX/JL leg from NRT/HND might trigger a need for two awards on that routing. If you're thinking of taking CX from JFK, then that's definitely a no.

Chances are they'll try to force you through LAX instead.
