I will be AA EXP with the combined program in 2015 and I am moving to Europe Q3 of 2015. Naturally I will use my benefits until I go, but is there anyone with experience in using the AA program ex-EU? Preliminary research says AFKL, BA, LH are possibles although I know a match possibility would not fly with BA.

I am open to status matching, keeping AA or moving activity to AS.

My GENERAL flight patterns will be:

-1-2 RT per month within EU (likely all cheapest econ)
    -2-4 RT/year each to N/S America and Asia (50%+ J, rest Y)

    Thanks all,
    ABF

It may depend on where you'll be in Europe.

I'm not sure about BA (tier points), but I know AF/KL and LH typically give fewer miles (RDM/EQM) for lower fare bookings.

I suggest keeping AA and using BA as needed (if possible) in Europe. I've had very good experiences doing this living in the UK.
