    LINK.

Per AirlineRoute.net, AA's GDS shows the 773ER starting service on LAX-LHR on 6/1/2013.

No bookings yet, but should be good news to those who were asking for this route to have the new plane.

Of course, my decision to take this flight may depend on seat availability and the 3-4-3 in the back... :)

You're a PLT, shouldn't you be looking at the 3-3-3 in MCE? ;)

Is this a new aircraft? If not which route is being dumped to free this?

Laughing at myself, I am not used to the acronym MCE yet, and I'm sometimes a bit slow.

Yeah, yeah, in a few seconds I realized it means "Main Cabin Extra," but before that, I did as I had been trained and ran it through the milepoint glossary. and thought David was being unnecessarily cruel to send rwoman to MCE! I just hope AA's version of MCE, when it arrives, is more impressive than this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jzawodn/519078369/

I really don't think they are giving their customers and competition enough notification. Maybe they should make it June 2015?

And trump the announcement of the long awaited LIT-NRT starting the same time?

I thought the big news regarding that route was that AA would use its first A380, not the route itself?

Darn it, all this speculation and all the half-truths. I wish folks would get it right, or use TOBB. It's not LIT - NRT, but ICT - NRT, and it's not the A380, but this airplane: http://www.foxnews.com/travel/2012/06/25/on-concorde-london-to-sydney/

Wichita - Narita will be the second route, after London - Sydney. I have my doubts they'll make it 2015, but at least maybe by then we will have cleaned up the accuracy on milepoint. Thanks in advance for your cooperation, everybody.

I've been booking space for a RTW status run in '13 and saw lax-lhr shows the new 8-seat F. The return lhr-lax shows the old 772 for dates I checked through May and the new 773 on June 1 & 2 (only dates loaded so far, per EF). It was Z1 on 6/1 yesterday but today it's Z0. Did someone grab it or did RM adjust it?

I posted today on FT on the topic of U and Z availability from tomorrow until the end of the bookable calendar (currently June 2, 2013) - so figured it might be helpful to duplicate it here:

    J & F MileSAAver availability for flts 136, 137 (LAX-LHR nonstop)
Being excited to experience AA's new 77Ws (the 777-300) on the LAX-LHR route commencing June 1, 2013, I just did a methodical search on AA.com to see what the current availability is for this route.

Starting tomorrow, July 7, 2012 and going out to 331 days to June 2, 2013 here are the results for availability in J and F for flights 136 and 137:

October 1, 2012, one single seat is available in F, for AA136 LAX-LHR

November 22, 2012, one single seat is available in J, for AA136 LAX-LHR

June 1, 2013, one single seat is available in J, for AA137 LHR-LAX

Although this last entry was exciting to see, released at 330 days out and showing the new seat chart for the 77W, the rest of my findings have depressed the hell out of me.

Can you post a link? I tried multiple Google searches using phrases from your text below and "site:flyertalk.com" but couldn't get a result.

I've done methodical searches using EF for AA137 from yesterday through June 2, 2013, and could not find a single Z seat. It was Z0 every one of the 330 days. The previous day, there was one Z seat on AA137 on June 1, but that vanished or was grabbed.

Hi, yes this is all very disheartening!

I posted in the master MilesAAver thread on FT (post #2317) - the exact text of what I wrote above. But there's discussion about it after my post up to today's comments.

Thanks for the precise link, I found it and read the resulting the discussion.

I do find it very disheartening. I suppose I should look for space on either BA, or on CX via HKG. BA of course has the massive fuel surcharges (and I'm already paying them on a BA flight into LHR), while CX costs more miles due to the route.

By the way, I received confirmation that the single Z seat on AA 137 on June 1 was withdrawn, not grabbed.

J or F. Starting 3/31/13, AA 137 leaves LHR at 2pm arriving at 520pm. Thats a nice change. My connection now is much longer to FAT, but hey....a few extra drinks the FL wont hurt ;)

I noticed the 2 PM departure from LHR. I'm a big fan, since I'm really bad at morning flights. The old slot (11 AM or noon, depending on the time of year) was really hard for me, even overnighting at an LHR hotel.

But, I just checked a date in November for an upcoming trip, and found it back to 12 noon.
