AA iphone app seat assigments

    Just curious if anyone can actually view the seating chart and make seat changes on the iPhone app? It shows me what seat number I have, but when I tap the number it doesn't show me the graphic or allow me to change seats.

    I don't think you can. The app is one area where United has a significant advantage over American.

    Can you see the seat map on your AA iphone app? Change seats etc?

    Nope, loads right away for me. I have no idea why it's not working for you. Have you tried deleting the app and reinstalling it?

    Yes and I've changed phones along the way and it has never, ever worked for me.updated the version, updated the ios and nada...

    Now I'm curious to try and see if it works for me. I think I've just used - or been ported out to - the mobile website in the past.

    it's not native to the app, looks like its loading mobile HTML version of the site. You will get your itinerary then you click "change seat" link

    try to disable wifi and try using the cellular network, might be cache issue
