Good Morning. Sorry for the question, but I am new to American and US Airways... If I fly US Air, but use my AA Advantage number, will the flight count towards my American Elite Status Qualification? Or do I only earn Elite Status Qualification when flying on American?

    Thank you.

According to this link on AA.com, yes, if you meet the criteria noted.......

You can earn FULL EQMs on:
    - AA flights (of course), including on Eagle
    - AA codeshares (AA flight number, operated by another airline)
    - US flight numbers operated by US
    - AS flight numbers operated by AS
    - SOME flights operated by oneworld alliance members. You'll have to refer the AA's partners page to see what the earning rates are for the individual airlines and fares.

There may be other minor exceptions, but above should cover >95% of your potential scenarios.
