At once weekly, not a huge loss, but still a service reduction. Ends Aug 18th.
Agree...at one flight per week...not a big deal...
Understandable cut-back, altho'......it just means that those wishing to go to Barbados having to go thru M.I.A. ...... or JFK.
There's a JFK flight, too.
Yay! Post corrected. Anything's better than MIA
Shocking confession from an AA elite - I've only flown through MIA once and it wasn't on AA. I'll be doing my first trip through MIA as an AA elite in August on my way to SJU. Wish me luck.
I might suggest keeping an eye out for Iberia strikes. I could be wrong, but I THINK pilots are expected to strike two days a week (Monday & Friday?) for the near future. When Iberia strikes, MIA gets much worse than it normally is.
I have lots of connection time so I should be fine. Fingers crossed.
Luck... you will need lots of it
You are all starting to worry me!
My last connection in MIA, during an Iberia strike, took nearly 4 hours, (I gave myself 2.5 hours), and I only made my onward flight because that plane went mechanical and left 2 hours late.
The queues for immigration began literally where the jetbridge met the building..... Baggage claim was so piled with moutains of luggage one could barely get thru.....
I think many on this board often suggest not checking bags, and that certainly holds true for MIA. Those crazy follow-the-dots mazes that lead from baggage claim to baggage re-check are ridiculous enough on a "good" day....
I'm doing domestic connections so no immigration or baggage re-check for me.
