American Airlines (AA) and British Airways (BA) today announced the joint operation of British Airways Galleries Lounge at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), further strengthening the joint business relationship between the two carriers. This is the second joint lounge operated by American and British Airways; the first - the Denver Admirals Club® - opened in November 2010.

Isn't there a lounge in MIA that is jointly operated by BA/AA/IB?

So then this isn't the second joint lounge. With DEN, it's third...

It's the third co-located lounge, but technically is the second AA-BA co-location since the MIA venture includes IB. Semantics but I think that's what they were angling for.

So do I have access to these lounges with my fancy new Citi credit card like the regular AC's?

And also, I think that the joint lounge in the Miami E concourse is temporary - IIRC, a new BA Galleries First /Galleries Club lounge (which I imagine will be used by IB) is supposed to open next year in Concourse D (in addition to the promised new AA Flagship Lounge) (corrections welcome).

So I'm assuming this will be where the current BA lounge is in Terminal A?
