I'm not an AA (or OW) FFer, so not familiar with the rules.
LA J @ EZE - the AC is the lounge. Am I entitled to bring in a guest flying another airline?

If you're not a Frequent Flyer, you need to give us more information like what kind of credit card do you own? If you're asking this I suppose you're not an AC member as well. Which airline are you flying and what class of service? In regard to the guest you can bring him in, but where is the club located? Will he be able to catch his flight?

oneworld lounge access policy based on class of service (LINK) is:

Customers flying First or Business Class have access to the equivalent class of lounge regardless of their frequent flyer status. (First Class passengers may be accompanied by one guest travelling on a flight operated and marketed by a oneworld airline).

The language indicates only F passengers get a guest. Perhaps since LAN only offers J some exception would be made, but I haven't really flown OW without status so have no personal experience. So unless you have a credit card that allows access, or your friend is willing to purchase a day pass, it doesn't seem like you can.

Sounds like not. Guess we'll hang out in the equally (perhaps more, perhaps less) crappy UA lounge.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. I would just show them your LAN J ticket, say that you have a guest, and see what they say. Failing that, Iberia has a small lounge just around the corner (at tleast they did...haven't been thru EZE since August....).
If you're going in the evening, the A/C at EZE can be really, really, really crowded. Only snacks are basically nacho chips and cheese cubes.

Oh, I know it all too well, but you are forgetting the occasional soup, and also, the canned fruit cocktail! And the UA lounge is no better (and doesn't even have computers). And the Sala de las Americas is even worse than the aforementioned. And the IB lounge is never open when I'm there.

The lounges at EZE are really a "worst of the worst" type of situation.

I have used this as well- however the UA, AMEX, and AA lounges are all nothing special.

Don't forget the Sala de las Americas, which may take the "dump" prize. On the other hand, I've never been in the AX lounge.

it is quite the race with sala being a strong contender.
