I know that AA has two configs for the 738 planes: old being the reclining seats with dc ports, and the new being the cradle seats with ac ports. Is there a way to know which config a particular flight is going to use?

Edit: I said 763 in the subject, meant 738

I believe the older configuration has exit rows on 13 & 14 and goes to row 28, the newer configuration has exit rows at 14 &15 and goes till row 30.

No, there is no way to know which configuration a particular flight is going to use. The seat map will tell you which configuration they intend to use, but they can and do switch them out without notice.

Agree that switches can and do occur, but I find switches rare between the two 738 configurations.
