It might be more cost-effective for AA to bus them up to Memphis from Little Rock than having to fly a second plane to pick up the stranded pax. :D

I think you put that in the wrong thread. I hope you at least copied and pasted your post into the "No wonder AA is in bankruptcy" thread. It's a good one.

It might be cost effective, but these passengers purchased a plane ticket, not a trip on the Greyhound Bus. (No wonder AA is in bankruptcy.)

Speaking of purchasing a plane ticket and getting a bus ride, my wife and I got that treatment on Sabena Airlines a while back on our Honeymoon trip! (We were connecting through BRU to CDG and there was a pilot strike landing us on a long, uncomfortable bus ride to CDG.) This also caused the "first fight" of our marriage. :(

Believe me, it wouldn't be the first time a bus was used to get airline passengers from MEM to LIT. A coworker of mine once had this happen to him when flying (or trying to fly :)) DL back to LIT.

During irregular operations, I was bussed to my final destination. There was no refund but I received 6,000 bonus frequent flyer miles, or maybe they should have been frequent bussing miles in my account for the delay.
