I agree and I wonder how long it's going to take to rebook everyone to Paris.

Yes, with 500 pax this will be an impossible task. They'll probably have to send over at least one empty 330/340/747.

Pretty dramatic video of the AF big bird spinning the Comair barbie jet.

Yeah, the RJ looks like a little plastic toy plane and it seems to have spun around pretty fast, almost 180 degrees.

That is what I found to be so crazy! The big bird was not sitting still when it hit the small one!

Some have suggested that it looked like the whale was speeding in the taxiway.

But no matter whether the ugly whale was speeding or not, it would still have hit the RJ right?

If it hadn't been speeding, it might have seen the poor little DL RJ and been able to avoid hitting its tail.

But apart from that, there might be something wrong with the ground control though. They shouldn't have sent the ugly whale there in the first place :p

True, but there is supposed to be redundancy in the systems. Even if they made a mistake of sending the whale too close to the poor little defenseless RJ, someone still should have seen it and been able to stop or move to avoid it.

Over in the DL thread on this, someone is talking about the DL RJ being "injured" rather than damaged. :p We've been implicitly thinking about the incident in terms of a big bully picking on some sweet and innocent small child.;)

There was also a cute comment referring to the afterlife of an RJ in some special place in heaven.

I don't pick on you. I take you under my wing and protect you, just like an A380 takes a little barbie jet under its wing to protect it. :D

The A380 should have its wings clipped.
