A FB friend of mine posed the question about TSA Pre-check since she and her mother almost missed their flight from MSP to ATL in a very long security line. Her mom, not a frequent traveler received the Pre-Check alert and information on her boarding pass but the daughter who is Delta Platinum did not. The gist of the conversation from many "voices" on FB was that anyone over 55 is automatically given pre-check since they cannot bend over and take off their shoes as easily as younger travelers! What???
The conversation went on and on with a lot of misinformation but I finally chimed in and corrected the record but seriously are people that niave and for a Platinum flyer to not know about pre-check or Global Entry. I guess some people are in their own little world. Anyway, I had to chuckle at the 55 and over crowd, we're so immobile and all.

Was actually wondering about this! My 83-year-old grandparents are both given Precheck whenever they fly, yet they have no status or trusted traveller programs. Thoughts?

Last week, both my daughters (12 and 14) received TSA Pre on the outbound flight and the younger one only received it on the return. Absolutely useless, of course.

Here's what I found: "TSA has begun to identify passengers who may be eligible for expedited screening through a risk-based analysis of passenger data. Using the same Secure Flight data that passengers have provided for years, TSA’s risk-based analysis will allow TSA to maintain its high security standards, create greater efficiency and improve the passenger experience while ensuring as many travelers as possible experience the benefit of expedited screening through the TSA Pre✓™ lanes."

Hey if they want to offer it to me, I can be a geezer if they let me keep my shoes on!

GHEEZ! How long until more than half of the lanes are PC? I can just see the day in 2024 where every lane except one is PreCheck!!

Perhaps they are linking TSA databases to NSA phone records. Ah, the competency of it all is so reassuring.

Our kids are now getting the PreChek designation on their BPs regularly. Of course, even with out it, as long as a parent clears, they can tag along with the parent through the PreChek lane.

My wife has also been clearing, but I've not cleared once on this trip.

Sometimes when AA "re-pushes" my profile to tsa, it clears. Not sure exactly what is going on. I may will write to AA....I have a near perfect hit rate on Delta, and an issue regularly on AA. Hmm.

The NSA database analyzed your MP posts and determined that you are a risk.

Actually we are all trusted travelers and there should not be this divisions of the masses. The actual risk of a terrorist attack is so minute, that it's insane how much money this country wastes on the minimal risk.

Uh oh! I sorta count on always getting the beeps because I have both GE and precheck.
