Thanks, John - I am familiar with seat guru but was looking for some first hand experience.

    garyst16,

Here's a post from Randy Peterson from another string at: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/economy-seating-international-flights.74907/#post-2220358
that you may want to read:

"There's some newer resources out there that you might find handy for the comfort question as seating as just seats can be a mystery based upon the size of the other person providing the advice, etc.

You might click around RouteHappy, a quasi-partner of Milepoint and while SeatGuru is an automatic, there's also SeatExpert to consider as well, another quasi-partner of Milepoint. All these sites will provide some sort of cross-reference to getting a "better" seat for any flight."

    Good luck!

I sat in 3J on GRU-JFK and really enjoyed the seat. Service was excellent, unlike some reports that FAs forget about the mini cabin, and the mini-cabin was very quiet throughout the flight. Footwell is also larger in the bulkhead seats, IIRC, so it was a good choice.

I picked window, main cabin, middle two weeks ago and it was great. Probably give the mini cabin a try next time. To anyone used to the old J seat the 77W is such that there are no bad seats :)

Here's a photo from my seat in the very last row of business (center section, right aisle):

I prefer to sit in the rear of the cabin, though on this flight it was the last seat available for my upgrade.
