I am on a 767-300 from EWR to Geneva in September. The seat map on ua.com looks like it is the "old" configuration. I am seated in Row 16 which is the first row of economy plus. Would the exit row 22 have more leg room? Also, is it likely that this plane will be changed to the new configuration by September? THanks

I don't see that configuration on seatguru -- are you sure it's a 767-300? Do you have a screenshot?

I see row 10 having the first set of E+, and 21 being the exit row.

I doubt you'll be able to find out whether that aircraft will be in final configuration until much closer to the departure date.

There are no more old 763s out there. If it is 2-cabin then it is scheduled to be one of the reconfigured ghetto-birds with PMCO BF seats and E+/-. If it is 3-cabin it is the new UA 763 config.

Here is the screenshot. It doesn't match the 767-300 configuration on seatguru.

That is the new 2-cabin config. It isn't "in the wild" yet so I don't think anyone knows which seats will be best yet.

Whatever happened to standardizing the exit rows to 20/21?

That is one reason I am so confused by this. I don't know if I should stick with row 16 or move to row 22 or move to row 19/20 which on the "new" configuration 767-300 is the exit rows.

This is slightly off topic but I think the middle seats in C on the reconfigured BF 764 are smaller than the pairs (aisle and window) sides, the screen felt like it was closer and the bed really small. The leg cubbie is very small also.

Wouldn't surprise me for the footwell to be smaller because there is less space "between" the seats in front since you have only have half the seat.

Re the row 20/21 thing, I think that is only for the narrow-body fleet.

Yes, that's correct. When CO renumbered the rows a few years ago it was on 737s and 757s only. No changes were made to the 767s and 777s.

So basically, there will be five additional rows of Economy seating (with E+ moving from 16-22 vs. 20-28 on the 3-class)... And 30 BF seats (vs. 32 BF/UGF on the 3 class)...

The last time I was on a 767 (and not in this config, FWIW), the exit row seats didn't seem to have that much more room than the bulkhead seats. So I would stick with 16-- that way you get out first for immigration too.

The problem is probably with seatguru, it doesn't seem to be updated very regularly for the past year or two.

I tried seatexpert too, but it seems to pull the same info -- doesn't have this config. Expert Flyer shows it correctly, but doesn't say anything about the quality of either row 16 or 22 seats.

It is not much of a surprise that the review sites have nothing on this config yet. It isn't flying.

I'm on a 767-300 from ORD-AMS in a week or so and the seat map has E+ starting at Row 19 with Rows 19 & 20 both being exit row with limited recline. Can't find this config anywhere. Should I take row 19 or 20 window or move further back for a window?

    Thanks,
    Rob

Thanks. That's the one. Now the question is why that seat map doesn't appear on SeatGuru when searching under United. It comes up as the 763B but only the V2 ("D") and V3 ("ER") show on the left-hand navigation menu. Or maybe I'm just missing it somewhere.

    Row 20 it is!

    Thanks,
    Rob
