    Received this via snail-mail today. Title says "Hotel Stay" but T's and C's offer codes for air and cruise as well.

    T's and C's

    Must book through amextravel and charge to Green, Gold or Plat
    Must book by Oct 15, 2011
    1 per card account
    Credit posted 8-12 weeks
    Bonus points credited 10-12 weeks after payment
    no minimum purchase
    low rate guarantee or they will pay you the difference
    ID 3218 (Hotel-Air)
    ID 5432 (Cruise)

    Got a copy of this postcard from a webfriend and have forwarded it to the appropriate Amex rep for verification that it isn't targeted. BTW Isn't it odd that hotels-only res doesn't have a specific promo code?

    They don't work? Are they being rejected as invalid codes? This is a statement credit, not an immediate discount...

    i am member of MR. it says double points for booking at the top of page anyway so it seems you dont need the code for that, its mainly the 75$ statement credit that is so valuable

    this is what i get from the website when i put code in:

    We're sorry, we could not complete your request at this time.

    I had not tried booking a room but did after your post. I suggest contacting AMEX Travel at the number shown and have it applied manually.

    Amex Travel just sent a reply to my inquiry via SM. She said: "It's targeted and cannot be applied to your Gold Amex." :eek:

    If it is targeted, and I received a post card in the mail, why would I be receiving the same reject message?
