I just made a booking for BOS-SEA on a 738, and the online seat selection shows rows 16 and 17 as exit rows. However, on both SeatGuru and SeatExpert none of the 737 versions show 16 and 17 as exit rows. The Alaska Airlines website also shows that row numbers jump from 11 to 15, whereas SeatGuru and SeatExpert show rows 11, 12, 13, and 14.

I'm guessing that the Alaska website has it right, but does anyone know the reason for this discrepancy?

Yes, the Alaska web site is right. Due to the introduction of new 737-900s they had to change the numbering system on all aircraft to have uniformity. This just happened and the other web sites have not caught up.
