One person has been taken to Richmond hospital, among seven passengers who fell ill on an Air Canada flight from Hong Kong Sunday afternoon.

A spokesperson for Vancouver International Airport says the seven were travelling as a group onboard Air Canada flight 18, and that all passengers except for the one had been released.

The seventh person was taken to Richmond hospital for further examination.

Funny that those sick were all part of the same group. Heaven forbid they all ate something together before boarding the flight. That would mean AC would not be to blame. We cannot have that now can we!

Well, it would seem that the root cause of the problem is far more likely to be related to the distinction "group of 7 travelling together" than the Air Canada flight- however some basic rules of route cause processes in journalism and overall media reporting really aren't that emphasized today with the "jump to cause reporting and maybe later find out what really happened" methodologies.

"The survival of everyone on board depends on just one thing: finding someone on board who can not only fly this plane, but who didn't have fish for dinner. "

"There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? "
