I have read so many bad comments about FA trying to push the cards, and yet many of us are mile hogs...refer your wife and family, other than that this is a bad marketing game.

Is it possible for someone with one such open account to be approved for a second card?
Both my husband and I received a second card last month. I was instantly approved, my husband got a pending status when applying. He waited and was approved without calling in a few days. Both of us had opened the first card a year ago with little spend on them.
Good card, both now and after the transition.
Are there any non US Airways elites out there that have recently been approved for the version that gives you 10,000 miles each anniversary?
