I am Gold with HHonors too ... do you think this was targeted?

As for your upcoming App-O-Rama, wouldn't you think that the AMEX 60K HHonors offer is more lucrative?

Kalboz - Seems like it might be as "Gold" was in the email title.

It is more lucrative. I'm actually thinking of gettting both. Different banks so thinking it should work. Anyone with experience trying both on the same day? I have no Citi cards currently so shouldn't be a problem getting this one and only have one AMEX (DL Plat).

EDIT: Oh...I see the AMEX 60K is dead. May be a moot point then.

The HHonors AMEX Surpass card for 60K bonus points is still available here: http://www304.americanexpress.com/getthecard/learn-about/Hilton-HHonors-Surpass

But the annual fee is $75. The good thing with this offer is your Card comes with a complimentary upgrade to HHonors Gold status for the first year. $20K annual spend is required to maintain the status in subsequent years.
Spot on bearcat74 ... you are absolutely right!

Simultaneously? Without having to the wait 6-months interval between AMEX cards?

Interesting that they are sending out invites on this card. It has been available for about a year now and from the talk on FT, it is churnable. I mayneed to start getting this and the Business AA card on a regular schedule. ;)

In my case I did wait over six months between cards. But you can do the Citi and AMEX Simultaneously :)

Six month interval? My wife and I got 4 AmEx cards in 6 weeks last summer and she got a fifth within 6 months -- the fifth being the 60K HH AmEx.

True, no "first-time applicant" language on the T&C but it has the term quoted below! Churning sounds more interesting ... how many times a year do you rise and wash this card? ;)

According to the person on FT, 4 times in 2011. The latest 78 days apart, closed on Monday instant-approval on Friday. In theory, you could apply every 60-61 days. Assuming it lasts, I am planing more of a quarterly churn.

Churnable, churnable, churnable. Have been doing it (x2 with Mrs. PedroNY) for years. I was excited when it went up from 15,000 points to 30,000, then to 40,000 and last fall to 50,000. Just make sure you get to the right application page that is the 50,000 Hilton Honors points bonus.

Do it in the same shot as AA Citi Biz card, keep it 91 days apart from your last application, that should cover the once in 90 day Citi Biz requirement. You will still get 2 inquiries, as one is personal and one is business, so if you are thinking of churning other Citi Cards (thank you points), then make sure you figure your rotation out and decide what is worth more to you.

    Enjoy!

    Cheers,

    PedroNY

This gets better and better - so the Citi Biz AA cards are definitely still churnable also? I've got to get my program in gear here.

Yes, Citi AA Biz is churnable every 90-91 days. Unfortunately, that is where I got hosed last Fall working to 1MM, because I applied for the 75K biz before it died and then it died before approval. I tried for the 50K but then I got too many inquiries. So I ended up with a few extra, useless, credit inquires and I am holding off for a few months before starting up again.

About the Fast Track to Gold portion:
    1. Got Gold status through the VISA Signature promo last year. Only have 3 stays under my belt so far this calendar year.
    2. Have 3 stays booked for the next couple of months, so was wondering:
If I complete the 4 stays in 90 days, will I be Gold through the rest of 2012 (as I would be with what I have now) and 2013 (from the Fast Track)?
