    Does anyone have experience with this? Are these booking treated like Expedia, Priceline or Travelocity, where some chains don't give credit for the stay?

    As far as I know, bookings at AA.com would be just like booking at any other 3rd party site. So no you probably not earn credits at some of the chains.

    But... let me tell you something... lol
    If it's the same offer I'm thinking it is, it will give you 1000 miles if it's flight+hotel and sometimes you can find the package for less than the flights alone would have been! While I think that points are important, it would basically be a free stay anyway...
    Because of this reason, I'm all about aavacations now days - the deals are amazing!

    If I book hotels on AA.com, are these bookings cancellable?
