A wealthy Chinese art collector bought an extremely rare 500 year old porcelain tea cup at a Sothebys auction, paying $36.3 million. He paid with his Amex Centurion card, netting 422,860,000 rewards points. He didn't even know about the points until Bloomberg News called to ask him, so now he's checking his account.

This translates into 28 million frequent flier miles or 66 million Hilton Honors points.

Well I don't have a Centurion card but how does a 36 million purchase equate to 422 million points? That's over 11 points per dollar. Is it different in Hong King?
