400 TSA agents have been arrested for theft of passenger items while not one terrorist has been caught.

    http://rt.com/usa/tsa-stealing-from-travelers-358/

A TSA agent convicted of stealing more than $800,000 worth of goods from travelers said this type of theft is “commonplace” among airport security.

“It was so easy,” he said. “I walked right out of the checkpoint with a Nintendo Wii in my hand. Nobody said a word.”

“TSA is probably the worst personnel manager that we have in the entire federal government,” said Rep. John Mica, chairman of the House Transportation Committee. “It is an outrage to the public and, actually, to our aviation security system.”

As anyone on this forum knows, anyone who leaves anything valuable in checked luggage shouldn't expect to see it again....

Also if the 400 number in 11 years is correct, that works out to less than one arrest per week ..... nation wide.

also, look how old the article is -- hardly news !

Are you implying that the news found in Russia Today is not always the gospel truth? ;):D

PutinNews does prefer to put the U.S. in a bad light, but it's still closer to real journalism than Rupert Murdoch/Prince Alwaleed bin Talal News.

With the usual promise of the MOST open and transparent administration yet. I am surprised by several things.
    That this article even surfaced.
That real names of government officials were used.
That ONLY former government employees were convicted.
That anyone would be surprised at low numbers of arrests or convictions.(the government is investigating it's self)
And lastly and not directly related to the administration - I am never surprised by the absolute stupidity that is shown everyday by people.

This reminds me of an old saying: Man is smart, People are stupid!

Also have to consider these are the KNOWN arrests. We all know how the TSA tries its best to hide the news of their screeners getting arrested and/or failing Red Team tests.

Does not say much for their screening abilities, but then many are recognized as former baggage handlers from the old dats.

Still if you oay $109.09 extra you can take the shorter line, when they are not in break at the same time...

Most Mexicans know they can walk in about anytime they want, and it easier than clearing US Customs.

    Long Lines sometimes....
