Let me know if you want it and tell me what you got. This has to be used right away (expiring very soon)

Can I suggest the Coupon Connection on FlyerTalk too if you're really in a bind.

  3. Can you clarify? Are you trying to get rid of a $250 voucher? If so our small non-profit would be very grateful.

dont see a problem here - better get something than nothing at all. win-win situation. certificate is probably from delayed/cancelled flight.

Its illegal on the E-Cert Rules...They cannot be bartered or sold...you're basically cheating United out of revenue.

clearly you view it as a black/white situation, I'm sure you can imagine that many others view buying a cert or trading a cert to be a gray area that is ok. (more the latter than former)

I'm still curious if offering cash or even trading threads/posts are allowed outside of the MP Exchange.

iirc, there's a CC like forum on MP that is only open to Gold status folk?

Given that access to such activities is restricted, that would lead me to belive MP does not allow this activity to be engaged in by all in the public forums.

Speaking from experience such matters are traditionally done with more discretion.

Where is the CC forum? It should be advertised better if there is.

It's for Gold Members Only on MilePoint and it is better advertised.

where is it advertised? I checked out the perfs for other status levels, it doesn't show up there. Also, trying to search for such a forum doesn't yield the forum information even saying something like "for gold members only" etc..

Should it maybe be in the FAQ?

It doesn't look like you're a Gold Statused MiPo member so if you tried to search for it then it wouldn't show up but I agree they should add it to the FAQ if it isn't in there already.

It's a volunteering program (MP has no Moderators) so MP Guides help guide and establish the "culture" on teh forumz... then again if I was a MP Guide I'd do it Josey Wales style :p

Well, I think Randy did a little "mod" job on a series of post I was involved in between someone else, which I think was a good thing:)

until it is printed in the T&Cs on MP, assuming really doesn't matter.
(bolding mine) perhaps you have said experience and desire to pursue items that way but to someone new who sees a cert that is clearly up for bidding "Let me know if you want it and tell me what you got.", let the bidding begin, to each their own way.
