sounds like a nice trip. Abercrombie and Kent also offer similar type trips.

I'd guess that's about my travel budget for the next ten years, and will let me see a lot more places and travel a lot longer.

I just looked at the B757 seats. For the price I'd want full lie flat sleepers with some privacy too. This is old-fashioned, not too comfortable domestic F style seats and with technical stops too. I'd actually like to do this, but not with that equipment.

And you still have to get from New York to Seattle at the end, or New York to Seattle at the beginning, or to/from wherever you actually live. They couldn't include that for $71,000 I assume though ;). Heck of a way to meet spend on a new credit card at least. $20,000 to get the full BA 100k spend? No problem!

Indeed, so my assessment of my trips is that they are at least comparable in quality and superior in quantity for $70k in spend per person.

Yeah I guess it's all relative in the end... some people (myself included) see that price, the locations and the length of the trip and figure that you could do some serious traveling that's equally as nice if not nicer for that same amount. Maybe make sure the equipment is top notch, or tweak the destinations (maybe add Dubai or Frankfurt along the route).

I guess we can all start a game of "who can top this for $80k a person all in" and see where it goes :)

I know its a private jet, but RTW in F can be had for $12000 rather easily per person. Budget $1000 a day combined for two people  , and you could go away for a total of 47 days around the world, and stay at $400-500 a night hotels (maybe a little higher if going to Maldives or Bora Bora or the like) and have $200 dinners every night. But remember, you have $71,000 to spend ;).

But NO - the only part of the charge that can be paid by cc is the 2500 deposit. Further payments have to be by check or bank transfer!!!!!!

On the other hand, there are plenty of people who can afford $80k, but not the time to figure out a "better" plan. And these guys just need to find some 80 people for this trip. I won't be one of them, but if someone wants to take this trip, I have no problems with it.

If who are planning to spend $80K to go on this trip, MP members can help you plan for free. Lucky, Gary and other pros can help you procure first class seats for 1/100 of the price :)
