This is what I wrote as the OP for last season's thread.

As a lifelong Knicks fan it pains me to suggest that my current area team the HEAT should win again.

Now that Ray Allen is playing for Miami, and Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are playing for the Nets (Hall of Famers all), I am regrettably a pained Celtics fan, and will watch the Miami Heat once again win the NBA finals.

    Rebuilding is always difficult.

I had a partial season ticket plan for the Celts during the '76-'77 season. They lost in the 2d round to the Sixers who had Dr. J and George McGuinness.

    Hi, tondoleo,

Rebuilding is one thing, but our Celts heroes could have played for another season or two before Danny Ainge decided to deep-six 'em all. They will join the those justly famous Celtic Hall of Famers from the '70's, '80's, and '90's in the not-too-distant future. And I'd love to be at that ceremony at the BB Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts! :)

Danny is making a play for the lottery and Mr. Wiggins.

Pardon the rhyme, but I think the Heat are the team to beat.

Sorry to say, but Danny Ainge greatly wounded Team Celtics when he made the incredibly bone-headed move of trading Kendrick Perkins. Kendrick's presence on the team a couple of years ago could have made all the difference in the Celtics bid for the NBA Championship. There's likely way too much drama that goes on behind the scenes in Boston, as why else would our hero Walter Raymond Allen take a pay cut to head to Miami? Hey, we'll gladly take a D-player trade for Ainge any day of the week! ;)

Somebody forgot to send the 76ers the memo about them being the ultimate tank team. First they beat the Heat, then they beat the Wizards on the road.

Smart move by the Wiz to try and get the edge for the Draft Lottery this early in the season.

Meanwhile, the Suns, the other team widely picked to tank this year are also 2-0. Shall we stop the season now and have a Phoenix-Philly phight phor the championship? :D

Actually the NBA should break up the 76ers before they become a dynasty. :p
They just beat the Bulls to go 3-0.
