I wish they were more quick about that, I have upcoming trips I'd like to use them and can't due to the delay to this notification. Nothing so far!!!

I signed up but I was confused on why they give the gld, plt, exp status but the mile value is so high.....

Elite rewards this year is based on EQP, not EQM much to the chagrin of many FFers. Considering it's a promo to reward elites who go above and beyond their qualification thresholds, the higher value seems to fit perfectly in line with what the promo is rewarding.

Seems you might be a bit confused on what the promo is about?

Silly question, but what happens if an EXP earns 75k-99k EQPs (instead of the 125k EQPs). Do they get the Plat Elite Reward, or do they get nothing?

Maybe with the BK filing (won't hold my breath) AA will be more liberal and give something out to those that didn't quite make it but made it to their elite level.

Last year I had quite discussion here regarding this policy, because they reward a Gold customer who only contributed to the airline with 45K Eqp and reward nothing an EXP who contribute much more, let's say 110 EQP! I still think they should reward all elite levels who break the thresholds given, once they're based on points and not on miles! That's my thought!

Here is last year's Elite Rewards thread and all the discussion that went into how it was implemented, including the debate Eloy Fonseca Neto referenced if anyone wants to read. :)

Depends on how you look at it. I see the purpose of the promo to reward those that over-qualify. If you reach the next level but don't over-qualify, you get the reward of that next status.

Do you think it is safe to use the site to selection before the AA email???

Absolutely no idea. The language makes it clear the form is for this promo, but not sure what using it without the email will do.

Thanks for the heads-up on the link. I just went ahead and made my selections and everything worked well. At the end it indicates that I will receive my rewards by April 15 2012. Selections must be made by March 15.

BTW, I immediately received a confirmation e-mail for each reward selection, so I'm going to archive those in case there is any question.

I just followed roadweary and everything went well too. As did he, I will keep all registry information. Now let's wait and see when they are going to release the rewards we've chosen!

What's everyone planning on choosing? I didn't qualify personally, but gifting Gold to a friend sounded like a nice option. Until Gold became so easy with DEQAA/DEQ11... :)

The AC membership is the only option that can only be selected once. All the others you can double up on.

I opted for the extra SWUs, the email they would post by April 15. I am wondering if anyone had gotten them yet?

Not yet! But we are less than 10 days away to see them in our accounts or not! I can't help myself, I go online everyday and check for them, but till now, nothing there! I'll let you know as soon as I get them! ;)
