Couldn't stand the preseason. Can't wait for the new season to start.

Trying to forget last springs meltdown by the Canucks and hope that this year will be their year minus the riot.

I think their chances are not as good as last year but hope spring eternal.

Ok. How about making a prediction (analytically) for the Stanley Cup Champions?

We can set the deadline as Oct-31.

While completely understanding the low probability, I do have to put up the Islanders for Stanley Cup winners this year. Considering their record the second half of last year and them having basically the same team I do think they're going to have a shot this time. It also helps that they finally realized DiPietro can't start at goalie anymore due to all the knee injuries. The guy plays hard but just seems like he can't move as fast.

    So prediction, Islanders!

I'll just provide my disqualification for potential contender: The Jets

I want the Canucks to win. That is what my heart wants.

Probability? Maybe not. We still don't have enough sandpaper in our lineup to survive the playoffs.

Here is to hope! Prediction: Canucks
