    Just got the same email...

Problem with the offer is that it's ok if you're actually planning to join or re-join, but doing it for the miles it's a tough choice. It's easier to leave the mafia than to leave some of these gyms after you sign up. :)

Agreed. And yet, the wonderful people here can be rather creative.....

    Indeed.

I still get calls from USA Today though, 2 1/2 years after I cancelled following GS2010. And that's supposed to be easy to cancel. :)

I'm not sure it's worth it for 2000 miles, esp when you consider how hard it can be to cancel a gym membership. This seems like a good promotion only if you are already planning to join :) Nice find, nonetheless....

If only my gym didn't cost me a mere $18.48 a month, I'd jump right on this one.

    or $9.95 :)

Even if you're considering joining 24 hour fitness, you can join through Costco for about $14.50 a month ($349 for 2 years) and use the savings to go churn some gift cards for the 2,000 miles

    Reminds me of Gympact... http://www.gym-pact.com/

If you go to the gym x amount of times, you get paid. Your incentive to go is further increased by the fact that if you don't go then you have to pay out. :)

If someone offered me 1k miles every time I went to the gym I'd be there 1600 times a day. :)

UA should offer really good deals for joining gyms. Fitter, not fatter, passengers is way cheaper in fuel costs

That is an interesting way to think about it. Now we just need UA to incentivize a little weight loss challenge. :) I'm thinking you and earn the number of miles equal to your BIS for 2013*your percentage weight loss from Jan-Dec13.

Every eligible location near me is either a Jazzercise or Curves. :( There is one 24Hour Fitness, but it's on the far side of town. Oddly, the one a few blocks away is not eligible.
