Just got a certificate from AA recognizing my loyalty as a Citi Executive Advantage member/card holder. 2 business class tickets for the price of one, all international locations except Brazil, Argentina and Chile. Must be booked in specific inventories: D class fare in I inventory.

Is this a good deal or am I gonna have to pay a fortune for the ticket?

Not sure what a "D class fare in I inventory" means... If you can buy an I fare and get one free, that's a good deal. If you must buy a D fare, it's much less of a good deal.

It sounds like you pay the D fare but it comes from I inventory, which is more restrictive (with less availability). Depending on the route, it could be an ok deal or a blooming fortune.
