Used to be that if you had tied up your MP/OP accounts, 1K would match to Platinum.

But logging into CO.com now, I see that I am now a Presidential Platinum :)

Not sure how long this will last, but just in case I reprinted my OP card.

    Same. I'm sure it's a glitch.

Oh well. I'll always have the PDF of the PP card to remember my brief status in the highest level of OP.

Wonder if anyone was able to take advantage of their temporary status and get the 6 days before flight upgrades.

According to the Continental site, PP is less than 1K, so I fail to understand what is so great about it over 1K.

With all the hiccups that WILL occur over the next few months, keeping a paper copy of your Presidential Platinum card with you while you travel might not be a bad idea at all.

For travel on Continental, the upgrade order will be:
    • Continental Platinum Elite
    • United Global Services and United 1K
    • Continental Gold Elite
    • United Premier Executive
    • Continental Silver Elite
    • United Premier

Called to make an award reservation today... called with normal platinum elite number and reached the Presidential Platinum number... waived all fees and the staff actually know basic geography.... let's see how long this lasts...

I received my EUA at 6 days today... enjoying this little taste of PP status!

I suppose if you are a Platinum 1K and haven't matched to UA status, now might be the time.

It used to be free back when the Pres Plat came with the Chase Pres Plus MasterCard. Wonder what the new deal is.

That's the rate for run-of-the-mill Plats (and 1Ks), no?

    Hey Willie,
He's asking Presidential Platinum, not Platinum. I think PresPlat gets an additional, undisclosed, discount over just plain old Platinum. From the continental.com page about membership rates for United Club:
