    Yep, I am exactly 1 lousy point short of 2000 points which I can then use to redeem hotel vouchers or airline miles transfer. I really don't want to stay at a hotel for the sake of it. Anyone suggest how I get that 1 point?!

    I just realized that tomorrow is the end of my 12 months of free enrollment as a Platinum member. I never earned any points or booked any stays with them during the year. Oh well.

    There aren't exactly a lot of Accor properties around the U.S. I enrolled in case I could possibly make use of it during the year, but it never panned out. It was an instant qualification when I enrolled through a promo offer, so it didn't cost me anything.
