I arrive in Frankfurt at 7am and fly out at 10:45pm. I'd like to take a train to Munich to do a BMW tour. Realistic? I think there's enough time, just need solid directions. Thoughts?

Have you looked at the Bahn.de site to figure out train connections?

Should be no problem, if the flight is not delayed.
There is a ICE departing at 08:37, arriving in Munich at 12:08. For the return journey, I recommend the ICE departing at 17:50 and arriving at 21:22.
If the time at Munich is too tight for you, I recommend the Porsche museum in Stuttgart (1:30h from Frankfurt).

    A couple more things:

There is baggage storage at FRA. The airport website will tell you more.

The cheapest ICE tickets are only valid for the particular train you book and not refundable.

First Class is sometimes cheaper or at least near the price of 2nd Class if you can find discount F vs. Full-fare 2nd Class.
