Crew, passengers subdue unruly man on flight

Wow, some people....Crew/Pax detained a man on AA 1561.

This follows incidents on DL and CO yesterday.

I wonder if some are just paranoid with the recent killing of UBL...

Planes had been diverted and searched prior to the recent OBL killing...

this has been standard procedure whenever there is an onboard threat. I am referring to when passengers have tried to gain entry to the cockpit or when paper has been found with the word "bomb" written on it..

I agree this was SoP before last Monday - it just seems that these incidents, along with the imams being denied boarding or taken off of a/c (AA, DL flights), are gaining more media attention than I've seen in the past or people are just talking about it more frequently.

Well denied boarding is one thing... that could be profiling, stupidity or who knows what. When you get unruly onboard though... that's another story. I think there's a lot more people now that used to "just sit there" and fly, but now they're more conscious of what's going on in the plane during flight. Anybody acts up -- bang on the cockpit door or else -- they're gonna get their teeth kicked in.
