    Good morning and apologies for the newbie question.

    Regarding Hilton's 100,000 point per stay limit, is that all points earned (including any bonus) or is that base points only?

    Have an approx $6000 stay coming up and with points and points and diamond, this will be 120,000+ total. This is why I'm asking so I can know to change to points and miles to get the most out of it if I have to.

    Thank you.

    You will be just fine because the 100,000 point cap is only on base points:
    A $6K folio will get you 60K base points, well below the cap. Enjoy!:)

    A HH Diamond who is set up to get the most points out of a revenue stay would get 120,000++++ total points.

    Base points = B = $6,000 * 10
    Points + points double dipping = 0.5B
    Diamond Bonus = 0.5B
    HHonors AMEX Surpass: 1.2B + (12* taxes)
    AMEX booking = 500
    Diamond MyWay = 1000

    Total = 3.2B + 1500 + (12*taxes) = 193,500 + (12*taxes).

    The key is to have either the HHonors AMEX Surpass (12 pp$) or the HHonors Citi Reserve visa (10 pp$).
