I thought the students under age 21 left the country for places where they can drink such as Cancun and Aruba.

Me three. maybe the Andaz and W hotels, plus a couple cool boutique properties, make San Diego the party place for more upscale kids. There's also Black's Beach, clothing optional, outside of La Jolla near the UCSD campus.

Not surpised at all..... as is posted above, upscale kids with upscale parents and black & platinum cards are big spenders..... San Diego would be stupid to miss out on the business.

One other thing..... San Diego has a key strategic advantage.... its geographical.

Dont forget it is very close to Tijuana... so the boys can go south to "get some" if they dont score during their bar and club hopping in San Diego. Tijuana is reasonably close so that you can go down and come back next AM early and catch brunch back in civilization.... or so Im told by those that have done this.

I've only been to San Diego. Given the context, I guess I should be proud :).

Sounds like you are speaking from seem strong experience. Were you the torch bearer for those shenanigans.

I spent one spring break in Iceland and Stockholm. Not quite the warm weather as the destinations mentioned above but they know how to throwback the drinks and have a good time.

Yes they know how to enjoy the drinks because alcohol is so expensive in Sweden.

I've only been to San Diego, Las Vegas, and Miami Beach, but none at spring break time. I don't know whether I should be proud or not.

Same here... although I also have been to Tijuana, during Spring Break and not. However, I was already in my 30s and working for a large Bank, so no time for any of the hanky panky....

If they are dumb, perhaps..... alas, one would think that University boys would know how to properly use latex.

I have nothing against hanky panky and practice plenty whilst being single.... but Tijuana was not a place I selected for these activities.

Che Not at all. I have been to my fair share of sketchy nightlife establishments. You can ask round the nightclubs of your lovely city to found that out for yourself.;)

But Tijuana is someplace I would never venture. That is another realm entirely.
