Asia Miles Award Chart Changes

Asia Miles Award Chart Changes

Effective Oct. 15, 2007, Asia Miles is revising its flight award chart. Short haul flights in Zones A and B (mostly intra-Asian, intra-European and domestic routes within countries) have been reduced to a roundtrip coach ticket for 20,000 miles (currently 25,000 miles) in Zone A and 30,000 miles (currently 35,000 miles) in Zone B. Other coach awards remain the same. The miles required for unrestricted coach award tickets for Zone B to Zone F will increase. For example, an unrestricted coach ticket in Zone B will be 60,000 miles (currently 55,000 miles). First and business class award tickets for long-haul flights, Zones C through Zone F, mostly between Asia and Australia, Europe and North America will increase. For example, a roundtrip business class ticket between Beijing and Los Angeles will be 120,000 miles (currently 100,000). Upgrade and companion ticket award redemption levels are also being adjusted. You can easily see how these changes will effect the awards you would like to redeem by using the Flight Award Calculator at asiamiles.com. The calculator will give you the current award amount as well as the amount that will take effect Oct. 15, 2007. Needless to say, now is the time to redeem the awards that will be increasing on that date.
