US air travel total disaster for the consumer: “Airlines for America” which owns government demands and gets-and brags about-ban on service animals
A Congress and regulator that has totally sold out the consumer goes into overdrive to do the bidding of Airlines For Wall Street whatever the merits of the topic
Don't just read the headline -- read the article.
It's not a ban on "service animals" -- it's a ban on pets (sometimes euphemized as "emotional support animals") flying in the passenger compartment, with certain exceptions. People have been dragging all sorts of pets on board as "emotional support". Actual "service animals" defined in Federal law as dogs (sometimes ponies) specifically trained to perform specific tasks for individuals with disabilities, like seeing eye dogs, are still allowed on board. Just no pets.
Personally, I applaud the decision, and according to reports the flight attendants are particularly overjoyed.
