Who’s sorry now? As thousands of former Mileage Plus members desert UA for discounters, UA tries to seek transatlantic biz travelers

Well since the short term cash hit of destroying their frequent flyer program for most pax has ended, UA confronts the truth that millions are deserting them on competitive routes such as transatlantic.  They are responding by jamming in bleacher-seating-Polaris which whatever it will become is never going to be even a nice, much less luxurious, offering.  With AirAsia threatening them from the Pacific side, it could get real interesting.

I wonder why you, as a consumer advocate, would link to sites that demand you pay or turn off your ad-blocker in order to read the stuff they publish?

I decline to do either, and so will probably never know what Business Insider prizes so highly.

Edit doesn't seem to work in the prior post for some reason, so I'll add this link here:

Concerning the additional Polaris seats, see also https://www.flyertalk.com/articles/united-attempts-to-lure-elite-flyers-with-1600-new-premium-seats.html
