Hilton is set to reflag the Kempinski Munich Airport Hotel in January 2015. The five-star hotel currently has 389 rooms and it is the only hotel with a direct link to the airport’s main terminal. It will be renovated and a further 160 rooms will be added by 2017 with meeting and conference spaces, as well as a “Fit & Fly” spa area and new food and beverage options. It will be known as the Hilton Munich Airport and will be one of 13 Hilton brand hotels in Germany and one of more than 50 Hilton airport properties worldwide. The property will feature a swimming pool, whirlpool, sauna, steam bath, fitness area, seven treatment rooms and a pool bar, among other amenities. It’s too early to know what the redemption category will be for award stays.
