NO, since there are no Platinum's anyway! :p

no one cares what kind of status you have in every frequent flier/hotel program! does it make you feel better listing your status here for the world to see?!?!

Decisions, decisions, and all that in the pursuit of happiness, oops, I mean status.

I would be ineligible to post in a Gold Purgatory at the moment. ๐Ÿ™

You have to graduate from the Univ. of Michigan first. (Everybody knows you have to be a Wolverine to get Adamantium status.)

I seem to be the only Silver left in Silver Purgatory.

Actually there are, but we have a unique feature for our Platinum members called "cloaking". As you might be aware, many of superior status become the target for verbal jabs and upstaging antics from those of lesser status, etc. So, in an effort to protect those with Platinum status, the "cloaking" allows other members to see their status as presented differently than what it actually is, allowing them to mingle and rub elbows, so to speak, with those members of lesser status.

In fact, Milepoint was an anonymous contributor to a recent study in which it was discovered that there are actually seven classes of status on Milepoint, not the previously understood three status classes. Some of the new elite status classes include "Emergent Status Seeker", "Precarious Elite Status", "New Affluent Elite Status" and the always popular "Established Middle Status".

I hope this answers both your questions and your interest (winky, winky).

Have a great day and for what it's worth ... behind this post is a guy that loves what he does for frequent flyers, so contact me anytime.

See, Randy has just confirmed the existence of Unobtainium Status. All you have to do is translate his post into Swahili, then Urdu, then Basque, then Delta Skymiles doublespeak and you will know everything you need to know about Unobtainium. ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Relax .............. smile.............. enjoy................... and be grateful ๐Ÿ™‚

Still in Silver....is there a light at the end of the tunnel?

Hey, hey, hey, hey-now. Don't be mean; we don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

Actually, Randy did hint at a surefire way to find out whether the Unobtainium Status, in fact, does exist: We simply need to get our hands on the "cloaking" device. For this potentially one-way mission to where no one has gone before, I propose a unanimous vote for oneeyejack as the skipper...;) ๐Ÿ˜€

Sure, there is, and I ought to know because I am a recently minted MP Gold. The real question is whether or not there is light at the end of the "Gold Inferno" tunnel that I just entered. The answer, apparently, depends on proving the existence or, most likely, the nonexistence of a Platinum status, known even more mysteriously as Unobtainium.

Oh no, don't confuse Unobtainium with the very, very, very mundane Platinum Status. Platinum Status conveys all sorts of goodies. But Unobtainium is so far beyond the beyond that it can never be described. It is the status that keeps on giving infinitely. ๐Ÿ™‚
