1. C cabin LAX-FRA-LAX on LH using UA miles?
2. C cabin LAX-CDG-LAX on AF using AS miles?

Two of my least favorite business products!

Any chance of LAX-LHR-LAX on NZ using UA miles? 😉

I find both Air France's and Lufthansa's business seats pretty uncomfortable.

Also consider LAX-LHR-LAX on BA using AS miles, though AS will hit you with fuel surcharges for that.

One other idea... assuming again the miles we're working with are AS/UA..

You could transfer your UA miles to CO and book VS LAX-LHR.... VS is a CO partner, not a UA partner, but you can now move miles back and forth between the two programs at will.

Thanks again. But still in the accumulation stage. Your knowledge of product is outstanding. I never would of thought of NZ or VS for superior quality.

When I use your service, BookYourAward.com, do you review all the bookings for use of above mention products. I'm assuming you have assistants.

Today I had a hard time booking a reward RTW trip. I had done my homework for hours, well planned, had everything in hand when I called Aeroplan (even alternative routings). Nothing worked, except the first segment LX87 in F from YUL to ZRH. One example is the next segment:
TG 971 on a A340-600
Depart: ZRH @ 13:30 (10-26)
********** 10 hours flight
Arrive: BKK @ 05:30 (10-27)
1 x CO First award
It was unavailable, though it was shown to be available, on the 25th, 26th and 27th of October. Same for my aternative routings. Same for the rest of my RTW trip.
The agent looked competent, was very patient comparing to others, and stayed with me three hours on the phone. I have to mention that while I was talking to her we were also discussing the screen results of my searches with ANX (on AC, CO, and NH).
She finally booked me on other flights, and even other routes that the chosen ones. So my question is: what went wrong? Could Aeroplan be the problem all the way?

Actually, it looks like the most likely issue is with the search on CO.

Note that searches with CO do not distinguish between First or Business. Regardless of whether you specified first or business, a CO search will always return results in either cabin. What you see as a "CO First" award may actually be a business class award.

Generally, you would want to double check the cabins before booking. You can do this by contrasting with either AC or ANA (both of which provide actual cabin information).

Thanks for the report though. I do see that this can be confusing, and I added a reminder to the viewer whenever any CO premium awards are found.
