Perhaps with all the bruhaha regarding the AA shopping mall offers and the fact that it is difficult to tell "who is in charge" when there is a problem, AS has decided the better way to go is to not have a shopping mall.

That would be an interesting development.

Update: It looks like contract discussions were halted indefinitely, but Mileage Plan is actively looking for options.

Basically... it's going to be a while.

I guess Cartera is focusing on trying to operate what it already has well, as opposed to messing up more airline shopping malls? 😉

If it hasn't come back by now, I doubt it's going to. 🙁

The ThanksAgain partner has a shopping portal where you can earn AS miles. There aren't many options - but it's worth a check if you're going to buy something already.

Some of the links are broken, but Kohls, BestBuy, Walmart, and Sears have all worked for me recently.

I thought I read recently about a 250 mile sign-up bonus. Can anyone confirm/find it?

I got an e-mail about that. You have to opt-in to receive marketing e-mails from them to get the bonus. Not sure how long it lasts. There's also a 500 mile (I think) bonus for your first purchase, but I don't know how long that lasts, either.
