Hi! I'm doing a stopover in Madrid in my next flights and gotta wait 24h for my flight. Anyone knows a good hotel near the airport? Thanks

You might want to avoid the AC Hotel Coslada Aeropuerto — unless you get an exceptionally inexpensive room rate:

We stayed at the Madrid Airport Hilton earlier this month and it was excellent.

I've stayed at the Madrid Hilton multiple times over the years and have always enjoyed it. It has an airport shuttle, a health club, decent breakfast, nice rooms, and there's a large mall within walking distance (a good walk).

I suggest the Meliã Barajas Madrid located just 10 minutes from the airport. It is a great hotel with spectacular rooms, great breakfast and dinner buffet for just 16 euros, as far as I remember. Rates are very wallet-friendly - I remember to have had a superior room for less than US$ 90.There is a nice garden and a pool, as well, if weather permits.
If you are not in a mood to eat at the hotel, the area is plenty of cafes and restaurants at no more than 5-minute walking distance from the hotel. Shuttle service is also available for free.

i stayed at the Clement which I thought was very good overall. Also the hilton is nice but it is about €40+ euros per night more expensive.

The Hilton at Madrid airport is one of my favorite films in the world. A super modern looking property and a great restaurant. A five minute walk to the subway to get you to the center of the city quickly. Highly recommend.

Avoid the Crowne Plaza Madrid. I found their shuttle service to be unreliable during two stays in August 2017.

We always stay at the Ibis in Barrajas. Good rates, nice people working there, a good restaurant (especially for breakfast) and a 10-minute free shuttle to and from MAD. Also, it's just a short walk from the town square with its great restaurants - a little bit of Spain for your last 24 hours.

The MAD Marriott was a level 5 last year (2017) so you could use a CC free night certificates, with lounge access as a gold. It served its purpose and we enjoyed having the lounge access when arriving late afternoon and departing in the AM giving us little time to go back into the city center for a second visit that trip.

Lots of first/second time posters on this thread?

The best hotel close to the airport is the Maydrit. There is a shuttle. We have stayed there many times over the last two years. Suggest you book via their website.
