Very similar to last year except that cards are all glossy instead of mat+glossy.  Liked last year's design slightly better.

Interesting privacy note.

Well, you can bet that I haven't ever discussed the initimate details of my sex life with the concierges, anyway....    all the same is nice to know that they aren't building a file about my making out with fellow delegates at a trade-union meeting!

I have yet to receive my 2019 package but, I guess, lifetime SE status won't change in any event. LOL

As for disclosure of mevlannen's activities at trade union meetings I will leave that to imagination. 🙂

Random data points:

Last flights of the year on 17 December (TPE-YVR-YEG).

Formally sent in missing AQD request 7 January.

AQD finally posted 16 January.

Magic button to select privileges appeared 20 January.

Still waiting for package in the mail, but won't hold my breath.

After last year's wait, I think I must be jinxed. I sincerely hope that once the new programme starts they manage to get the wait time for posting of AQM and AQD down to reasonable intervals. In my view there's no reason to wait more than 48 hours for these to post. After all, they can redeposit eCerts immediately if you miss a wait listed upgrade. What's keeping the posting of miles and dollars so long?

Still waiting for my package. Given that my card expires today, I'm a little disappointed. Next flight is next Wednesday. If I don't have a new card by Tuesday night there will be a phone call.

Oh, I do hope that it works out okay. There was one year (not so long ago) where I never did receive my SE package, although two sets of baggage tags showed up unbidden in mid-summer.

I would assume your online profile shows your new status.

It does, and I've received my eUpgrade certificates. It took forever for my status to be confirmed because of missing AQDs from my last flight of the year. Cascading problems.

Package finally arrived today.

I agree with The Lev that last year's mat cards and tags were nicer than the glossy sort.

I noticed that this year's baggage-tags are a bit more flexible than last year's, which tended to crumple in a more brittle fashion if they were actually sent through the baggage-handling systems.

Also (bless Air Canada) they seem to still be happy to send replacement tages upon request.

What are these baggage handling systems of which you speak?

Wicked, wicked YULtide.

The baggage systems are a cobbled-together network (and I use that term loosely) of peristaltic pulsometers which move one's obligatorily-checked persona; baggage between flights on wretchedly small-binned DH4s.

Most often seen in jammed-up inaction in YYC or YEG, alas.
